Innovation, research and development: Punto Rosso by Novacart Group and IIT
In collaboration with IIT (Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia) of Genoa, in 2017 Novacart Group launched Punto Rosso lab, a center of analysis, research and development aimed at studying innovative and eco-sustainable solutions for a constant renewal of the company's products.
Punto Rosso was born from the desire to search for the most suitable materials for each type of use, for paper cups, paper and cardboard baking molds, paper lace and cardboard pans.
Punto Rosso includes two analysis and research laboratories, where Novacart and IIT experts study applications and new environmentally friendly raw materials to create cutting-edge products that are environmentally sustainable.
Research into materials is also accompanied by research on machinery: Novacart has a department dedicated to the design and construction of machinery for production, which can also be implemented in the customer's production chain.
Novacart's commitment to the development of modern and sustainable products and processes is expressed in the creation of special eco-sustainable products, such as the study of a special biodegradable and compostable paper that can be used to create baking molds that maintain the high quality standards of all Novacart products: indeformability, resistance to high and low temperatures (both in baking and in freezing in industrial freezers) and resistance to grease.
All these features make Punto Rosso a fundamental innovation center, which has allowed Novacart to stand out as a leader in its sector, and which will bring even more innovation and development in the confectionery industry in the future.
